Thesis project focused on algorithms and raw material optimization
During the spring of 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming Albin and Nils, two students from Linnaeus University in Växjö, who carried out their thesis project with us.
The aim of the project was to explore how algorithms can be used to enable a more economical and sustainable use of raw materials in our melting processes.
By combining mathematical theory with operational data, they demonstrated that there is potential to further optimize raw material usage in the production of aluminum alloys. The results indicate both cost savings and more efficient resource utilization, fully aligned with our ambitions for innovation and sustainable production.
We are very grateful for the collaboration and the valuable contribution that Albin and Nils have made. Both in terms of new knowledge and fresh perspectives.
